Aredia/Zometa ONJ Case Transferred to North Carolina Federal Court

MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota federal judge has transferred an Aredia/Zometa injury case to the Middle District of North Carolina, finding that district is more convenient for the parties and likely witnesses, and a transfer serves the interest of justice.

On Jan. 24, Judge Joan N. Ericksen of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota found Novartis Pharmaceuticals Inc. waived the defense of lack of personal jurisdiction; therefore the case should not be dismissed.
