WASHINGTON, D.C. — Zimmer defendants in a Florida knee implant case have filed their opposition to a proposed transfer of the case to the Zimmer NexGen MDL pending in federal court in Illinois, saying the non-flex component at issue is not within the scope of those proceedings.
Zimmer filed its opposition Jan. 3 with the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, which has conditionally transferred the case brought by Janie Thomas to the NexGen Knee MDL (In re: Zimmer NexGen Knee Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2272).
