No Trial as Wright Medical Settles Lawsuit Alleging Design Defects in Profemur Hip Component

MACON, Ga. – An expected trial over alleged design defects in a Wright Medical Technology Profemur hip device was taken off the calendar last month as the parties informed the trial judge that they had settled.
Terms were not disclosed in the Settlement Order entered by Judge C. Ashley Royal of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia on Nov. 7, but the court closed the case brought by Timothy and Linda Courson on Nov. 12, the day trial was to have begun.
