Ala. Couple Sues Makers of Contasure Needleless Sling Pelvic Repair Device

MOBILE, Ala. — An Alabama couple has sued the makers of the Contasure Needleless Sling pelvic repair device, alleging the product is defectively designed and has caused severe and permanent physical injuries and substantial pain and suffering.
The suit, filed Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, says the manufacturers failed to disclose “the hazards and dangerous propensities” of the device. The complaint names as defendants DIMA, a Spanish corporation; Neomedic International S.L.; Neomedic Inc.; and Specialties Remeex International S.L.
