No Hearings on Remand Motions in DePuy Pinnacle MDL Until Bellwether Trials Conclude

DALLAS — Hearings scheduled for Dec. 5 and 6 on motions to remand approximately 280 cases assigned to the federal DePuy Pinnacle MDL have been postponed until the conclusion of bellwether trials that aren’t scheduled to begin until September, according to an amended hearing notice from the MDL’s special master.

Special Master James M. Stanton said in the Dec. 4 Amended Notice that the request for a continuance was unanimous among counsel for affected plaintiffs and defendants in cases assigned to the multidistrict proceedings pending before Judge James “Ed” Kinkeade in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of …
