SCRANTON, Pa. — A Pennsylvania federal judge has denied the makers of heparin summary judgment on failure-to-warn claims, finding issues of fact as to whether the plaintiff’s physician would have prescribed the anti-coagulant had he been given a different warning.

On Oct. 15, Judge Edwin M. Kosik of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania further found questions of fact as to whether the plaintiff established proximate causation between the allegedly inadequate warning and his injury.
