HACKENSACK, N.J. — A second DePuy ASR hip implant case scheduled for trial this month “has been resolved” and taken off the trial calendar, according to an Oct. 8 order by the presiding judge in the coordinated New Jersey cases.

Bergen County (N.J.) District Judge Brian R. Martinotti said in Case Management Order #24 that a case brought by Deborah and Kenneth MacDonald against DePuy Orthopaedics and Johnson & Johnson has been resolved and that all pending motions and hearings in the matter are canceled. The judge did not elaborate, nor would counsel when reached for comment on the development.
