PHILADELPHIA — Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: J&J) subsidiary McNeil-PPC Inc. is a New Jersey, rather than a Pennsylvania citizen, therefore it properly removed to federal court a Children’s Tylenol action filed by two Pennsylvania residents, a federal judge ruled.

On Sept. 18, Judge Mary A. McLaughlin of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania explained that the day-to-day operations associated with certain of McNeil’s products, including Children’s Tylenol, are managed by a group of executives in New Jersey.
