RENO, Nev. — A Nevada federal judge has stayed a pelvic mesh case brought against Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: J&J) and Ethicon Inc. pending the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation’s decision to transfer the action to the federal multidistrict litigation.
On Sept. 11, Judge Nancy J. Koppe of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada determined that a stay will preserve judicial resources and prevent duplicative discovery.
