Zimmer Seeks More Protections for Documents Relating to New or Planned Knee Devices

CHICAGO — Zimmer defendants in the NexGen Knee Implant MDL have asked the court for a supplemental confidential order to keep documents relating to devices still in the rollout or design phases from opposition experts who may have links to competitors.

Zimmer submitted its motion to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Sept. 4, asking for additional protections for documents arising from litigation or arbitration between Zimmer and surgeon-designer W. Norman Scott.
