Statewide Class Action Filed by Individuals Who Allegedly Suffered Withdrawal Symptoms from Paxil

BATON ROUGE, La., -Two Louisiana residents filed a statewide class action on behalf of residents who suffered from withdrawal symptoms as a result of reducing or terminating their use of the antidepressant Paxil. Bowman, et al., v. SmithKline Beecham, Corp., et al., No. N/A (La. Dist. Ct., West Baton Rouge Parish).
The action claims that the putative class members allegedly suffered from withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, anxiety, headache, sweating, sleep disturbances, palpitations and digestive disorders.
