INDIANAPOLIS — Counsel for both sides in the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip MDL have submitted written arguments to the court regarding plaintiffs’ demand for disclosure of the precise training documents used by Biomet to set up its predictive coding process for document discovery.

Those Aug. 5 and 6 submissions were made pursuant to an order from Judge Miller Robert L. Miller Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana during a July 29 conference.

Judge Miller ruled in April that Biomet needn’t search its document database again, despite plaintiffs’ counsel’s reservations about the search protocol used …
