TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey’s administrative director of courts has denied without comment a request by McNeil PPC and its parent company Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) to consolidate all New Jersey Tylenol liver injury cases in the Middlesex County (N.J.) Superior Court.
In a one-page order issued July 31, Acting Administrative Director Glenn A. Grant ruled that the cases “should continue to be filed in the appropriate counties of venue.”
Plaintiffs in these cases accuse McNeil and J&J of failing to warn that Tylenol (acetaminophen) can cause liver damage. The drug makers counter that the Food and Drug Administration …
