MONTGOMERY, Ala. — An Alabama federal judge has allowed a plaintiff to amend her complaint in a Depo Provera injury case to plead with the requisite particularity that she was injured by Pfizer Inc.’s (NYSE:PFE) failure to adequately warn that the drug can cause loss of bone density.
On July 25, Judge W. Keith Watkins of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama found the complaint consists of little more than “threadbare recitals of the elements of a cause of action” and unadorned accusations.
