CHARLESTON, W. Va. — A West Virginia federal judge has dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction a products liability action brought against a French synthetic mesh manufacturer, finding the defendant did not have sufficient contacts with the plaintiffs’ home state.
On July 26, Judge Joseph R. Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia noted the defendant sold its products to a Tennessee company, which assumed full ownership of the products and chose how and whether to distribute them.
