CLEVELAND — Two recipients of DePuy Orthopaedics (NYSE: JNJ) ASR hip implants have moved to withdraw from a medical monitoring class action pending in the ASR Hip MDL, citing recent revision surgeries and related personal injury actions they filed June 7 in Illinois state court.
DePuy has asked Judge David Katz, who oversees the coordinated DePuy ASR proceedings in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, to extend the deadline to respond to plaintiffs’ withdrawal motion to July 10.
