Parties to Zimmer NexGen Knee MDL Revise Case Selections for Bellwether Trials

CHICAGO — Zimmer Inc. (NYSE: ZMH) and plaintiffs in the NexGen Knee Implant multidistrict proceedings have each submitted revised pool selections for bellwether trials.

Both sides filed their selections June 20 with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where the NexGen MDL cases are pending.

Counsel for Zimmer and for plaintiffs selected two cases each in three categories: cases involving alleged failure of 5950 Tibial Components, those related to Cemented Flex Femoral Components, and those claiming defects in Uncommented Flex Femoral Components.
