DALLAS — Parties to a lawsuit alleging defects in a Smith & Nephew (NYSE: SNN) femur say in an initial Joint Status Report that they see discovery being completed within 10 months.
The report was filed May 29 in the case brought by William M. and Barbara Herod in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
William Herold says he underwent right hip replacement surgery on Dec. 3, 2007, during which his surgeon implanted a “size 13 right, 260 mm, 30 mm Calcar Echelon Bowed Porous Cobalt-Chrome Femoral Component, Reference Number 71340913.”
