Pinnacle MDL Court Orders DePuy to Produce Monitor’s Reports on Sales Program

DALLAS — U.S. District Judge James “Ed” Kinkeade has ordered DePuy Orthopaedics Inc.(NYSE: JNJ) to produce monitoring reports sought by plaintiffs that relate to a federal investigation into the company’s medical device sales practices.
Judge Kinkeade signed the Order May 15, granting in part a motion to compel by plaintiffs in the DePuy Pinnacle HIP MDL pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
The judge reached his decision after an in camera review of quarterly reports from a corporate monitor appointed to assess the company’s compliance with a “deferred prosecution” agreement between DePuy and the …
