Zimmer Moves to Block Transfer of Non-Flex Knee Case to NexGen MDL

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Zimmer Inc. has moved to block the transfer of a Pennsylvania knee implant case to the NexGen Knee Implant MDL pending in Chicago, arguing that the “non-flex” component at issue is outside the scope of the multidistrict proceedings.

Zimmer filed its motion May 16 in the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, asking the panel to vacate the conditional transfer of the case pending in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
