Parties to M2a Magnum Hip MDL Agree to Dismissal of ‘John Does’ and Non-Biomet Defendants

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Plaintiffs and Defendants in the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant MDL pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana have stipulated to dismissal without prejudice of all “improper defendants,” including all “Does” and all but four specified Biomet entities.

The Joint Stipulation of Dismissal was filed May 14 in the multidistrict proceedings pending in the court’s South Bend Division before District Judge Robert L. Miller Jr.

The four Biomet defendants are Biomet Inc.; Biomet Orthopedics LLC; Biomet Manufacturing Corp.; and Biomet U.S. Reconstruction LLC.
