MDL Court Reschedules 1st DePuy ASR Hip Bellwether Trial for September

TOLEDO, Ohio — U.S. District Judge David A. Katz has rescheduled the first trial in the coordinated DePuy (NYSE: JNJ) ASR hip proceedings for Sept. 9, citing a need for briefing and possible oral argument on pre-trial motions.

Judge Katz, who presides over pre-trial proceedings in 1,186 ASR hip implant cases, at last count, entered the new scheduling order May 7, while also noting the court will hold its next status conference May 14.
