Fla. Federal Court Stays Early Stryker Rejuvenate Case Pending Decision on MDL

MIAMI — A federal judge has decided to stay a Florida Rejuvenate hip case against Howmedica Osteonics Corp. (NYSE: SYK), leaving motions for remand or dismissal to be decided by a transferee court if the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation should decide to coordinate the Rejuvenate/ABGI II hip cases.

Judge Marcia G. Cooke entered the stay order May 7 in an action brought against Howmedica by Connie Piccinonna. The judge’s order noted that the case is closed for administrative purposes only and that either party can move to re-open the case.
