Mirena MDL Judge Asked to Appoint Liaison Counsel and Co-Lead Counsel

NEW YORK — The New York federal judge overseeing the Mirena multidistrict litigation has been asked to appoint Diogenes P. Kekatos of Seeger Weiss as plaintiffs’ liaison counsel and Fred Thompson of Motley Rice, James R. Ronca of Anapol Schwartz and Matthew McCauley of Parker Waichman as co-lead counsel.

In a May 3 order, Judge Cathy Seibel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said she will consider the April 30 proposal upon receipt of additional information. The proposal was submitted in a letter written by Kekatos “on behalf of the organizing plaintiffs” and requests …
