N.J. State Judge Grants Organon Summary Judgment in 7 NuvaRing Cases

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — A New Jersey state court judge has granted Organon USA Inc. summary judgment in seven NuvaRing cases, finding in a majority of the cases that plaintiffs failed to establish an issue of material fact as to proximate causation.
In an April 18 order, Judge Brian R. Martinotti of the Bergen County (N.J.) Superior Court also ruled in two of the cases that plaintiffs failed to prove fraud on the Food and Drug Administration to overcome the presumption of adequacy.
