SAN FRANCISCO —The presiding judge in California’s coordinated DePuy (NYSE: JNJ) Pinnacle hip cases noted in adding to the docket the personal injury suit of a plaintiff who complains of both hip and knee device failures that both parties have stipulated to transfer.

San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard A. Kramer on April 17 reinstated his earlier order granting DePuy’s petition for coordination of the case filed by Michael J. Assad, having vacated the earlier transfer order when Assad objected.

Assad’s lawsuit was pending in Superior Court in Riverside County after having been transferred from San Francisco for the convenience …
