DePuy Moves for Partial Summary Judgment in 1st ASR MDL Bellwether Trial Case

TOLEDO, Ohio — DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. (NYSE: JNJ) has moved for partial summary judgment on eight claims brought by the plaintiffs in an ASR hip implant case that is scheduled to go to trial next month.

DePuy and its co-defendants filed the motion April 15, asking the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to limit claims by Pennsylvania residents Faye Dorney-Madgitz and Harvey Madgitz to negligence per Pennsylvania law.
