NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana federal judge has dismissed a claim that Bayer Pharmaceutical Corp. defectively designed its intrauterine device Mirena, finding it fails to meet federal pleading standards.
On April 11, Judge Martin L.C. Feldman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana ruled the plaintiff failed to allege how Mirena deviated from its intended design or explain how the unknown manufacturing defect caused her alleged injuries.
