SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Plaintiffs in the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant MDL have asked a federal judge to rule on whether defendants can fulfill discovery requests using a search-term protocol it developed prior to the MDL for electronically stored documents.
Plaintiffs say Biomet’s choice of a search-term method to identify relevant documents was taken without any input from the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee and is far less effective than the plaintiffs' choice of a “predictive coding” method.
