Wright Medical Technology Settles Calif. Profemur Hip Case Before Trial

OAKLAND, Calif. — Parties to a Wright Medical Technology (NYSE: WMGI) hip lawsuit notified a federal court prior to their scheduled April trial date that they had settled claims over an allegedly defective Profemur device.
Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, who awarded Wright summary judgment on strict liability claims in March, has scheduled a compliance hearing for May 17. The parties were asked to submit a stipulation of dismissal at least five days prior to that date.
