Intuitive Surgical Alerts Court to Pending Surgical Robot Actions in State, Federal Courts

SAN FRANCISCO - Counsel for Intuitive Surgical Inc. (NASDAQ: ISRG) have informed a California federal court of several lawsuits involving its da Vinci surgical robot that, "to the extent practicable," may be informally coordinated with four pending cases already being treated as related actions by the district.

The Feb. 19 notice filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, says informal coordination "is desirable in order to avoid conflicting rulings, conserve resources, and promote an efficient determination." The petition is before Judge Edward Chen.
