Parties Settle Louisiana Intuitive Surgical Robot Case

NEW ORLEANS — A woman who alleged she was injured by Intuitive Surgical Inc.’s (NASDAQ: ISRG) surgical robotic device has agreed to settle her case, according to a March 14 notice entered by Magistrate Judge Daniel E. Knowles III of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
According to the complaint, Jennifer Silvestrini underwent a robotic transaxillary total thyroidectomy at Tulane University Hospital & Clinic in which an Intuitive da Vinci surgical system was used.
