TAMPA, Fla. – A Florida federal judge has denied Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.’s (NYSE: NVS) motion to exclude the causation testimony of two plaintiffs’ experts in an Aredia/Zometa injury case, finding they are qualified to testify that the cancer drugs caused the alleged injuries.

On March 14, Judge Susan C. Bucklew of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida admitted the testimony of Dr. James Vogel and Dr. Vishtasb Broumand, noting that Novartis’s efforts to exclude their testimony have already been thwarted in other Aredia/Zometa cases.
