Article: "Discontinuation Symptoms: Comparison of Brief Interruption in Fluoxetine and Paroxetine Treatment"
Summary: A double-blind study consisting of 150 patients designed to compare interruption or discontinuation symptoms associated with paroxetine and fluoxetine. The study examined the effects of shorter treatment interruption of 3 to 5 days. The treatment interruption-emergent symptoms were assessed using the Discontinuation-Emergent Signs and Symptoms checklist, Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale, Clinical Global Impressions-Severity scale and a social functioning questionnaire.
