Florida Plaintiff Agrees to Settle Stryker Trident Hip Case

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A federal judge in Florida has dismissed a Stryker (NYSE: SYK) Trident hip implant case a day after the parties moved for a stay and said they reached a “resolution in principle.”

Judge Anne C. Conway filed the order of dismissal without prejudice Feb. 6, saying that either party — plaintiff Arthur Boyne or defendant Howmedica Osteonics Corp. — could move to reopen the case within 90 days. She directed the clerk to close the file.

Terms of the agreement are confidential, according to one source.
