JPML Grants Petition for the Formation of Meridia MDL

WASHINGTON-The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) has granted a petition requesting the formation of an MDL aimed at centralizing the Meridia products liability litigation. In re: Meridia Products Liability Litigation, MDL 1481 (N.D. Ohio).

On Aug. 13, the JPML ruled in favor of the formation of In re: Meridia Products Liability Litigation MDL-1481, which will be housed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and overseen by U.S. District Judge James S. Gwin.
