MIAMI — A Florida recipient of a Stryker (NYSE: SYK) Rejuvenate hip system implant has asked a federal court to order medical monitoring for himself and the entire class of Rejuvenate patients.
Bernard G. Owen filed the action Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, saying the concerns raised by Stryker in its voluntary recall of the system in July warrants such a remedy.
Owen, a resident of Boynton Beach, Fla., says that he received a Rejuvenate system hip replacement on July 6, 2011, and prior to receiving an undated letter from the defendant …
