DePuy Set to Defend 1st ASR Hip Implant Trial in Maryland State Court

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Maryland plaintiff Moira Jackson and DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. and its Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) affiliates are scheduled to be in court Jan. 7 for the start of what is believed to be the first trial of a DePuy ASR hip implant case.
Prince George's Maryland Circuit Court Judge Crystal Dixon Mittelstaedt will preside over the Jackson trial, which is expected to last about three weeks. Each side has requested five days to present evidence, according to sources.
