CHICAGO — Zimmer Inc. (NYSE: ZMH) has responded to plaintiffs’ challenge to a defense selection for bellwether trials in the NexGen knee implant litigation by offering additional support for its choice and charging plaintiffs with an attempt to redefine “revision surgery.”
Zimmer also argued in its Dec. 12 response that Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer, who presides over the NexGen MDL in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, should strike plaintiffs’ selection of Norman Blake v. Zimmer Inc., et al. (No. 1"12-cv-02836) for failure to meet deadlines for submission of medical authorizations.
