UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — Plaintiffs in a DePuy ASR hip implant action have asked a Maryland state court judge to impose sanctions on defendants for Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) CEO Alex Gorsky’s failure to appear for a scheduled deposition.

Moira Jackson and her two co-plaintiffs said Oct. 18 that the Maryland Circuit Court for Prince George’s County has not acted on defendants’ motion for a protective order excusing Gorsky from appearing.

The Jackson plaintiffs, who allege injury from defective DePuy ASR implants, say they filed a proper notice of Gorsky’s deposition on Aug. 22, requesting his appearance at …
