Lawsuit Filed in Mississippi Over Failed Stryker Rejuvenate Hip System

GULFPORT, Miss. — A Mississippi man who had his Stryker Rejuvenate hip system removed less than 10 months after it was implanted has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the device’s manufacturer.

Plaintiff Fred McGee alleges in an Oct. 9 complaint that proprietary components Stryker Orthopaedics Corp. said it used to alleviate fretting and corrosion concerns associated with similar hip implant devices turned out to be the reason why his Rejuvenate artificial hip system failed.
