Corin Hip Recipient Continues Suit Against Medical Providers after Manufacturers Dismissed

MINEOLA, N.Y. — A plaintiff who alleged defects in a Corin Cormet Hip Resurfacing System hip implant procured through Stryker Sales Corp. (NYSE: SYK) has been ordered to submit to medical examinations and continue with other discovery sought by a hospital and medical provider defendants now that all claims against implant manufacturers have been dismissed.

Nassau County (N.Y.) Supreme Court Justice Thomas A. Adams entered the Preliminary Conference Stipulation and Order Oct. 1, following the parties’ status first status conference since the dismissal of claims against Corin and other manufacturer defendants in July.
