Status Conference Postponed as Parties Near Agreement on NexGen MDL Trials

CHICAGO — The presiding judge in the Zimmer NexGen knee implant MDL has stricken a scheduled Nov. 9 status hearing order amid reports the parties are near agreement on a joint plan for bellwether trials and other issues.

Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer entered the new scheduling order in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Oct. 10 without comment, although the court noted in a docket entry after an Oct. 2 hearing that the parties are continuing efforts “related to the plan for exemplar trials . . . .”
