N.J. Judge Schedules State’s 1st DePuy ASR Hip Implant Trial for September

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Bergen County (N.J.) Superior Court Judge Brian R. Martinotti has scheduled the first trial in New Jersey’s coordinated DePuy (NYSE: JNJ) ASR hip implant litigation for Sept. 9, 2013, and has ordered each side to select three bellwether trial candidates by Oct. 15.

That deadline was included in Judge Martinotti’s Case Management Order No. 16, which was filed Sept. 19 following the latest case management conference a day earlier.

The judge scheduled a second bellwether trial for Oct. 21, 2013.
