WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has ordered that all Biomet M2a Magnum hip implant cases be coordinated in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
The JPML consent order and initial transfers were filed Oct. 2.
The JPML asked that the cases be assigned to District Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. for consolidated pretrial proceedings.
Biomet, which opposed the creation of an MDL, is headquartered in Warsaw, Ind.
