New Jersey Biomet Case Transferred to Federal Court in Washington State

NEWARK, N.J. — A federal magistrate judge has ordered the transfer of a New Jersey Biomet (M2a-38 hip implant case to Washington state after determining that the matter has no connection with the state in which it was originally filed.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark Falk said in an unpublished Sept. 21 order that keeping the case in New Jersey would serve neither the convenience of the Washington couple that filed the complaint nor defendant Biomet, which is based in Indiana.
