California Court Grants 2 Expedited Trial Motions by DePuy ASR Implant Plaintiffs

SAN FRANCISCO — The judge presiding over California’s coordinated DePuy ASR hip implant proceedings has granted two recent motions for preferential trial setting submitted by plaintiffs who made the requests because of other serious health issues.

San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard A. Kramer, who is considering similar motions by other plaintiffs and who denied a similar motion from another plaintiff in May, nevertheless granted the request by Loren Kransky Sept. 13.

Judge Kramer ordered the case sent to Judge Carolyn Kuhl Los Angeles Superior Court, the originating court, to be scheduled for trial no later than 120 days from …
