Plaintiffs Sue in Florida State Court Over Stryker Rejuvenate Hip Implants

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Florida residents have filed two lawsuits in Broward County this month alleging defects in Stryker (NYSE: SYK) Rejuvenate hip implant systems.

They join several other plaintiffs, including another Florida resident, who have filed similar lawsuits in New Jersey since Stryker announced its voluntary U.S. recall of the Rejuvenate and ABGII systems in July.

Connie Piccinonna filed her lawsuit in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Broward County Sept. 4.

She alleges that a Rejuvenate system was implanted in her left hip on Sept. 26, 2011, and in her right hip on Jan. 4, 2012.
