DETROIT — Two Michigan plaintiffs who allege defects in the femur stem components of their hip implants have settled their claims against Wright Medical after a federal court allowed Wright to amend its answer in each case to add comparative fault and statute of limitations defenses.
In each case, an order to dismiss with prejudice were signed Aug. 2 by a judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, where the cases were originally filed. Terms were not disclosed.
U.S. District Judge Thomas L. Ludington signed the dismissal order in the lawsuit brought by Williams Jones. …
