SAN FRANCISCO — An Arizona woman’s lawsuit that was filed in California for injuries caused by a Biomet M2a-Magnum Hip System has been sent to Colorado, where the plaintiff lived at the time the device was implanted.

A California federal judge ruled Aug. 31 that the claims of Diane Winningham, who also filed the first petition to have all federal Biomet M2a-Magnum cases coordinated in an MDL, have no connection to California, apart from Winningham’s suggestion that the MDL docket be established there.
